Singer introduced the Freearm 222K in July, 1953. This model set a new standard that may never be matched again. This particular machine is equipped with the original case, manual and attachments. Case is uncommonly superb. Hinges and latches are in excellent working order. Case lining is intact.

Timing set, tension adjusted, and sew tested. It has been exceptionally well cared for. This machine starts to a light touch and runs very smoothly. Stitches are neat and tight.

Machine is equipped with a 110 volt motor. Foot pedal and power cord are in good working order. Removable bed slides easily on and off.

This machine has acquired small blemishes through time, but it scarcely has a scratch.

Chapters 3 through 7 cover the use and care of regular attachments, fashion aids and accessories. Included is concise, easy to use chart (page 126) listing different singer machine models, and the names and part numbers of the attachments, fashion aids and accessories. Exactly what you need, to know if that perfect attachment really will work on your machine!!

Chapters 8-9 extol the virtues of the electric machine and let you know how that your electric machine complete with an electric light actually does work. Clearly a trip back in time to add to your knowledge of singer history!!

Occasionally we come across a particular Featherweight sewing machine that has real pitzfaa. This is one such machine. It actually purrs. It operates to such a light touch you can purr back at it rather than push on the foot pedal, or so it seems. The pictures fail to reveal the several light pin scratches, primarily because the paint is so bright and reflective. Chrome is in excellent condition. The original decorative, gold-leaf trim on the back of the base is intact. Due to use, the trim on the front of the base is well-worn. This machine comes with a full set of original attachments, original owner’s manual and the original leather-handled case with top tray.

If you love the feel of a machine that has been working for generations and will keep working for you and your family, this is the machine for you. This machine gives you the beautiful straight stitches you can only get from a mechanical sewing machine.

The AK 61’s marked the last of Singer’s Centennial Edition. The gold decorative scroll work on this Centennial is outstanding. The case is in excellent repair.
