Antique 1930’s Broken Star Quilt. Hand Quilted at 12 Stitches per Inch.

This sensational Missouri quilt is hand quilted and hand pieced with a thin batting. This quilt has been used but well kept. The value of this quilt is derived from the remarkably exquisite, skilled workmanship. This quilt is 72″ by 74″ of startling beauty.

One of the most beautiful and ornate of pieced star patterns, the Broken Star is truly a challenge. The tiny size of the pieces makes it difficult to master. Quilted at 12 tiny, straight and even stitches to the inch. Quilt has a pink hand stitched binding.  The colors are crisp and bright with a white back.  This delicate quilt will eventually need a home where it will be prized for its charm and beauty.

This delicate work of art has been selected for the upcoming book Heartland Quilts.

Antique 1930’s Butterfly Quilt Hand Pieced and Hand Quilted at 9 Stitches per Inch

Hand Appliqued, Hand Quilted and Hand Pieced.  This quilt is 72″x 82″ of delicate craftsmanship. Quilted at 9 tiny, straight and  even stitches to the inch.   The back is white.  The hand stitched binding is light pink and the quilt has a medium batting.  The colors are remarkably bright.  This lovely butterfly quilt has three small spots which may wash out.

This  incredible work of art, crafted in Missouri in the 1930’s, has been selected for the upcoming book Heartland Quilts.
