Hand Appliqued, Hand Quilted and Hand Pieced. This quilt is 72″x 82″ of delicate craftsmanship. Quilted at 9 tiny, straight and even stitches to the inch. The back is white. The hand stitched binding is light pink and the quilt has a medium batting. The colors are remarkably bright. This lovely butterfly quilt has three small spots which may wash out.
This incredible work of art, crafted in Missouri in the 1930’s, has been selected for the proposed, upcoming book “Early Quilts of the Heartland”.
